ALL TOYOTA EQUIPMENT DRIVE SHAFTS HAVE DESIGN DEFECTS ON PREVIA VANS-IF SHAFT IS NOT REPLACED OFTEN- COULD THROW METAL INTO CAB. USUALLY VIBRATION IS SO BAD, OWNER REPLACES SHAFT BEFORE HARM. THE RUBBER SPACERS THAT HOLD THIS SHAFT TOGETHER CANNOT HOLD TOGETHER BECAUSE OF STRESS OF POWER STEERING, AC COMPRESSOR, ALTERNATER AND FAN. THIS LIKELY PLAYED APART INTO THIS VEHICLE DISCONTINUATION. TWO DEALERS TELL ME THIS IS A PROBLEM AND THEY STAY BUSY REPLACING THIS. BUT MANUFACTURER SAYS THEY KNOW OF NO PROBLEMS.

WHEN DRIVING FOR A LONG PERIOD AND COMING OFF AN INTERSTATE THE VEHICLE IS HARD TO STEER. CONSUMER HAS YET TO TAKE THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE. *AK

Consequence & remedy
Consequence: IF THE FAILURE OCCURS, IT COULD RESULT IN A PASSENGERCOMPARTMENT FIRE.
Remedy: REPAIR THE RADIO.

CERTAIN WINDSHIELD WIPER COMPONENTS ARE SUBJECT TO PREMATURE FAILURE DUE TO INSUFFICIENT STRENGTH TO FUNCTION UNDER HIGH LOAD LEVELS.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THE WINDSHIELD WIPER ASSEMBLY CAN FAIL AND CEASEOPERATION ENTIRELY, RESULTING IN REDUCED DRIVER VISIBILITY IN INCLEMENT WEATHER.
Remedy: INSTALL NEW WIPER MOTORS, CERTAIN WIPER ARM COMPONENTS, AND RETORQUE THE WIPER ARM PIVOT.
