While driving, the vehicle experiences unintended braking and refusal to accelerate. ABS, traction control, pre-collision system, and secondary collision brake warnings illuminate. Toyota dealer diagnostics documented ABS and brake system fault codes C1201 and C1A50. The vehicle also produces a loud whining/buzzing noise from the brake actuator area while stationary. Dealers have recommended transmission replacement despite active ABS/PCS fault codes and safety system involvement. The condition temporarily resets after battery disconnect but returns. This presents a safety risk due to unintended braking and loss of vehicle control. When this happened I was in the street with my daughter in the back we could have got injured.

They are stating transmission but do not want to check ABS system faults. Car was new off the lot unsure why this problem got triggered. I went to Toyota Alhambra and Longo Toyota they do not want to address C codes this is a safety defect that needs to be brought up 4. Will be filing with corporate but wanted to address this issue as this is not the only Toyota with this issue. 5.UKNOWN from my acknowledgement there were no warnings before this happened. Toyota is assuming it is transmission refuses to check ABS system and address C codes

VEHICLE STALLS AT HIGHER SPEEDS ON THE FREEWAY This problem happened 1 time on 7/22/23, 1 time on 7/23/23, and 5 times between 7/29/23 and 7/31/23 when traveling between Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Symptoms (this repeats every time) 1.High speed (freeway speeds) car stalls, loses power and begins slowing. This is very dangerous in heavy traffic and could have very easily caused an accident! 2.Pumping the gas pedal brings the engine power back within 3-10 seconds and the car picks up speed again. 3.The MIL check engine comes on and the instrument panel rotates through malfunction alerts from ICS, LDA, parking brake, secondary collision brake system, etc. and continues cycling through the alerts until the engine is turned off. 4.When restarting right away, the malfunction alerts and MIL remain. 5.After the car has been off for at least 30 minutes, sometimes the warnings and MIL reset. The dealer gave an appointment to have the car checked 3 days in the future. This Camry was not on the recall lists for failing fuel pump even though it matches for manufacturing date.

THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE REAR CAMERA SYSTEM. I GET A MESSAGE SAYING "RCD OFF" AND "RCD UNAVAILABLE." THE REAR CAMERA WORKS BUT IS MISSING THE YELLOW GRID LINES, AND IT DOES NOT ALERT IF A PEDESTRIAN OR VEHICLE IS APPROACHING FROM THE SIDE. THIS HAPPENS WHENEVER THE VEHICLE IS IN REVERSE, WHETHER IT IS MOVING OR STAIONARY. THIS IS A SFAETY RISK BECAUSE THE DRIVER IS NOT ALERTED IF A PEDESTRIAN OR OTHER VEHICLE IS APPROACHING, WHICH COULD LEAD TO VEHICLE DAMAGE, INJURY OR DEATH.
