Toyota has recognized a problem with the low pressure fuel pump on some 2018 Camry cars which causes a hesitation when driving from a stop creating a rear danger of a rear-end collision. It has been happening intermitantly everysince car was new.. Toyota claimed that my vin was not one of the ones recalled even though I experienced the e3xact same problem. There appears to be an additional recall for the same issue in 2025, but here again my camry is not included. I only have 40,000 miles on my camry and I would like to keep it but am worried about the hesitation. The engine actually cuts off very briefly.
Car stalled while driving and needed to be towed to dealership. Car stalled while driving and needed to be towed to dealership. Dealership confirmed that there was coolant intrusion into the engine that clogged the fuel injector causing the car to stall while driving. Dealership informed us that car will need a new engine and transmission because of the coolant intrusion. The car stalled while driving and could have led to an accident or loss of life depending on where the car stalled and when. This coolant intrusion has been confirmed by the dealership and shown to us via video they took. The vehicle has only been inspected by the dealership and we called Toyota corp to have then review this as a safety issue. They informed us the call stalling was not a safety issue. UNKNOWN on confirmed symptoms prior.

I had to take my vehicle to Toyota bc it failed to start. There was an error code that of coolant issue error code and this was reported to the dealership they said that wasn’t the issue and my wires were chewed however I see that there actually is a history of issues with that incident and I wonder if I was given incorrect diagnosis from dealership this costed thousands of dollars from my insurance company and me to fix. Since repair my vehicle has not been the same .
I have a purge valve issue when filling my tank my check engine light comes I smell gas and the engine jerks I have take. It for repair 3 times and they have replaced it but still the same issue occurs when I fill my tank.

I keep getting error code P0304 which says its cylinder 4 misfire the engine starts shaking a bit and most of the warning lights in my dashboard turn on and it disables the parking brake , I took it to a shop and they took out the fuel injectors to visualy inspect them and moved injector 4 to a different cylinder but the same error keeps coming back cylinder 4 misfire , I keep having to spend money and still have the same issue. It only does it on a cold start .
The car first stalled ,then the it shut off ,and the car did not start. The car has almost half tank of gas. So I was doing My research on line. And saw 3 recalls and one of them was the fuel pump system for my 2018 camry LE.

There was a recall in 2022 for the fuel pump. The fuel pump was replaced by a local dealership in North Charleston, South Carolina. In December, the engine light of my 2018 Toyota Camry came on. It was diagnosed that the fuel pump needs to be replaced. I have appointment scheduled for this Thursday, February 20 at the local dealership for them, too diagnose and replace.

multiple issues with radar sensors- disable parking assist, lane assist and rear traffic sensors due to constant malfunctioning - battery has been replaced twice within the past 6 months - vacuum pump for automatic break assist replaced APRIL 2024 - automatic brake assist failed while on vacation and car had to be driven without assisted breaks from New Orleans to Jackson MS for repair - car can only be driven in SPORT MODE otherwise there is concerning jerking and rough gear change and acceleration lag, this issue has been addressed since the date of purchase but no serious concerns expressed by maintenance professionals. Car has been having major issues now since approximately MID TO LATEJULY 2024 MORE ISSUES BEGAN - ROUGH, FLUXUATING IDLE while parked and while driving - BATTERY REPLACED, AIR FILTER REPLACED, SPARK PLUGS REPLACED, O2 SENSORS (BOTH) REPLACED, THROTTLE BODY REPLACED, IDLE AIR CONTROL SENSOR REPLACED; ALL JUST OVER THE COURSE OF 4 MONTHS- car sputters and rattles after getting gas - has died after being gassed up 3 separate times since AUGUST 2024- MAF SENSOR was the last part considered the potential culprit- order replacement and installed, check engine light immediately came on after installation PO607 ECM- Removed NEW MAF SENSOR and REINSTALLED OLD ONE- CODE WAS ABLE TO BE CLEARED- WAITING ON ANOTHER REPLACEMENT MAF SENSOR- TOO many codes have been thrown too list here but all parts have been replaced to "fix" the issues without success. Car stalls at redlights and stop signed. Sputters and idles erratically after filling with gas. Idle fluctuates when in park. Car has been well maintained and is my daily driver. I have 3 children and have been stranded at gas stations twice with [XXX] in generally unsafe locations during evening hours since AUGUST. Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2018 Camry, 2019 Lexus NX300, and 2019 RX350L vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the fuel pump assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 12, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TA01 and 25LA01.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Camry vehicles. The vane cap inside the vacuum pump may break, causing the pump to fail, which could result in a sudden loss of braking assist.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A sudden loss of braking assist can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will repair or replace the vacuum pump, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 16, 2022. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.

Owners of specific models were notified that remedy parts were available starting January 21, 2021. Owners of other models will be notified as remedy parts become available. On March 4, 2020, Toyota expanded the recall to include certain 2014-2015 Toyota 4Runner and Land Cruiser, 2018 Avalon, Corolla, 2014 FJ Cruiser, 2017 Sienna and Lexus 2018 ES 350, 2018-2019 GS 300, 2013-2014 GS350, 2014-2015 GX 460, IS 350 and LX 570, 2014 IS F, 2018-2019 IS 350, LC 500H and LS 500H, 2013-2015 LS 460, 2015 NX 200T and RC350, 2017 RC 200T and RX 350. Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC (SET) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Toyota Camry, Corolla, Rav4, Sienna, and Yaris iA vehicles equipped with factory-installed floor mats. The load carrying capacity modification label may be incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An incorrect label may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: SET will notify owners and provide a corrected label for placement over the inaccurate label, free of charge. The recall began August 23, 2019. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371. SET's number for this recall is SET19A.

During the manufacturing process, the oil galley in the rotor for the brake booster vacuum pump assembly may have been improperly machined possibly resulting in a sudden loss of brake assist.

Consequence: A sudden loss of braking assist can increase the risk of a crash.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2018 Toyota Camry vehicles equipped with a 2.5L, four-cylinder engine. The pistons on these vehicles may be larger than specified, possibly causing the engine to stall.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the production date codes of the pistons and, if an engine contains a piston from the affected production period, the engine assembly will be replaced, free of charge. Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2018 Toyota Camry vehicles equipped with V6 engines. These vehicles have fuel delivery pipes that may not be properly connected to the fuel hoses in the engine compartment.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: The improperly connected hoses may leak fuel, which, in the presence of an ignition source, can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the fuel pipes for the correct installation, correcting them as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 30, 2018. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371. Toyota's number for this recall is J0G.
