WHEN I WAS DRIVING BACK HOME ON MY 2017 CAMRY XLE 2 NIGHTS AGO (CLEAR NIGHT, DRY ROAD, GOOD DRIVING CONDITIONS) I HIT THE BRAKES AS I WAS APPROACHING A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT. AS I DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, IT WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITH A NOISE, WITHOUT BRAKING. LUCKILY, I WAS ALREADY DRIVING SLOW AND THERE WAS NO CAR IN FRONT OF ME, ELSE I WOULD HAVE HIT ANY CAR THAT HAD BEEN IN FRONT OF ME. I PANICKED AND HIT THE BRAKES AGAIN AND THIS TIME THE CAR STOPPED A LITTLE SHORT OF THE CROSS TRAFFIC, BUT PAST THE PEDESTRIAN CROSSING. I TOOK THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE TO TOYOTA AND THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT THERE IS NO LOG OF THIS EVENT IN THE CAR'S "LOG" AND BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T THERE WHEN THIS ISSUE HAPPENED THEY DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT CAUSED IT! THE NEXT DAY, THE BRAKES SEEM TO BE WORKING WHEN I DROVE THE CAR IN TO SERVICE (3 MILES), BUT IT TROUBLES ME THAT IT EVEN HAPPENED ON A NEW CAR AND IT COULD HAVE BEEN A POTENTIALLY SERIOUS ACCIDENT, BUT TOYOTA SERVICE COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHY IT HAD HAPPENED. REALLY WORRIED!
