The contact owns a 2022 Thor Motor Coach Magnitude. The contact stated that the solar inverter failed to function as intended. The contact was unable to turn off or turn off the inverter. The warning lights were illuminated. A mobile RV mechanic arrived at the residence and diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the inverter Freedom 2000 was underrated for the vehicle and the compartment was not vented for heat. The contact was informed that the compartment was extremely HOT, and the metal inside turned blue where the positive wire was attached to the bolt. The mobile mechanic stated that it was luck that the recreation vehicle did not catch fire. The inverter Freedom Xantrex 2000 was replaced with an inverter Freedom Xantrex 3000. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the warranty had expired and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 28,846. The VIN was not available.

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2022 Scope, Tellaro, Sanctuary, Delano, Sequence, Tranquility, Rize, Synergy, Quantum, Magnitude, Geneva, Compass, Chateau, Four Winds, and 2022-2023 Tiburon, and Gemini vehicles. The quick disconnect fittings in the LP gas system may be cracked, causing a gas leak.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the quick disconnect fittings, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 27, 2022. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867.

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling 2021-2022 Magnitude and Omni motorhomes. The LP gas line may have been incorrectly routed through the rear suspension leaf springs, which could damage the line and cause a gas leak.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A gas leak increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will re-route the LP line as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 23, 2021. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000242.
