HELLO,, I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY TIRES,I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2007 SUZUKI GRAND VITARA IN 2007,I HAVE ONLY 26,000 MILES ON IT, I BOUGHT IT TO THE DEALER TO GET A OIL CHANGE.THEY TOLD ME I AM GOING TO NEED NEW TIRES IN THE NEXT 3,000 MILES. THEY CAME WITH YOKOHAMA GEOLANDER G92 TIRES, I CALLED YOKOHAMA TIRES ABOUT SIX TIMES THEY KEPT ON TELLING ME THAT THE TIRES THAT COME WITH THIS SUV DON'T HAVE A WARRANTY, THEY TOLD ME TO GO TO A YOKOHAMA DEALER WERE I LIVE, SO I WENT OVER THERE THEY TOLD ME THE SAME THING.I PULLED UP ON GOOGLE, OTHER PEOPLE THAT BOUGHT SIMILAR SUV'S IN 2000 7/2008, HAD THE SAME ISSUES, AND A LOT OF THEM HAD BLOWOUTS WHILE THEY WERE DRIVING THERE SUV'S.ONCE I READ THEM ALL. I MADE COPIES OF THE ALL TO SHOW YOU,I CALLED YOKOHAMA TIRES AGAIN I TOLD THEM THAT IF I GET A BLOWOUT, AND GET INTO A ACCIDENT AND ME OR MY FAMILY GET HURT OR WORSE THAT I AM GOING TO SUE THEM. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SUZUKI GRAND VITARA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE HAD TO REPLACE THE SWAY BUSHINGS ON HER FRONT AND REAR TIRES. ALL FOUR TIRES ON HER VEHICLE BECAME WORN AT 20,000 MILES AND THE REPAIR TECHNICIANS WERE UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE AIR PRESSURE INDICATOR CONTINUES TO ILLUMINATE ON THE TIRES. THE AIR BAG SENSOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE REMAINS ILLUMINATED AND DOES NOT DIM. JUST PLACED NEW TIRES ON MY CAR AS THE REAR RT., WAS WEARING BADLY ON THE OUTSIDE. 23000 MILES ON 2007. SUZUKI MCKINNEY, STATED THEY WERE AWARE THAT THIS HAPPENS, AND THEY NO LONGER HAD EQUIPMENT TO DO ALIGNMENTS. HAD ANOTHER SHOP ALIGN, AND THEY COULD NOT GET THE CAR WITHIN RECOMMENDED SPECS. SPOKE TO SUZUKI, AND MANAGER THAT WAS AWARE OF PROBLEMS, NO LONGER WORKS THERE, NEW ACTING MANAGER HAS NEVER HEARD OF PROBLEM. THE SPEED WAS NOT A FACTOR. AFTER INSPECTING THE TIRES, SHE NOTICED WIRES STICKING OUT OF THE TREAD. ALL FOUR TIRES WERE REPLACED AT THE COST OF $517. I HAVE A 2007 GRAND VITARA, IT HAD YOKOHAMA GEOLANDER G92 255/70 R16 TIRES. THE BACK TIRES WORE OUT BY 13000 MILES. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED I WAS OVER INFLATING THE TIRES. THE PROBLEMS IS THAT THE TSP LIGHT KEPT COMING ON SO I WOULD PUT AIR IN THEM AND IT WOULD GO OFF. I HAD A WARRANTY ON THESE TIRES BUT NO ONE WOULD HONOR IT BECAUSE I WAS TOLD I PUT TO MUCH AIR IN MY TIRES. I ARGUED WITH THEM STATING THAT THE TSP LIGHT KEPT COMING ON. Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (Suzuki) is recalling certain 2010-2013 Kizashi and 2006-2013 Grand Vitara vehicles. The front passenger leather seat may shrink due to high humidity and high temperature. As a result, the occupant classification system (OCS) sensor mat may not accurately detect if an adult or child is occupying the seat.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating airbag deployment, an incorrect classification may result in the passenger frontal air bag deploying even if there is a child in the front passenger seat, increasing their risk of injury.

Remedy: Suzuki will notify owners, and dealers will replace the seat bottom cushion, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed on May 3, 2019. All second letters notifying owners of the remedy were mailed by April 10, 2020. Owners may contact Suzuki customer service at 1-800-934-0934. Suzuki's numbers for this recall are 4011 and 4012.

Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (Suzuki) is recalling certain model year 2006-2011 Grand Vitara and 2007-2011 SX4 vehicles. In the affected vehicles, over time, the OCS sensor mat installed in the front passenger seat may fail due to repeated flexing of the mat from use of the seat. As a result, during a crash necessitating deployment, the air bag will deploy regardless of whether the front seat occupant is an adult or a child.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Air bag deployment with a child in the front passenger side seat increases the risk of injury to that child.

Remedy: Suzuki will notify owners and dealers will replace the front passenger seat cushion assembly (which includes the OCS sensor mat) free of charge. Sufficient quantities of parts are not currently available to fix all of the affected vehicles. Owners will be notified of the recall in October 2013 and will receive a second notification when parts are available to have their vehicle repaired. The recall began on May 23, 2014. Owners may contact Suzuki at 1-800-934-0934. Suzuki's recall campaign number is VD.

CERTAIN VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 114, 'THEFT PROTECTION. ' THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SELECTOR LEVER "PARK" LOCK FUNCTION MAY BE INOPERATIVE DUE TO A STICKING SHIFT LOCK ARM. THE SHIFT LEVER MAY BE ABLE TO BE SHIFTED OUT OF "PARK" WITH THE KEY REMOVED AND WITHOUT DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: THIS CAN GIVE RISE TO INCREASED INCIDENTS OF CRASHES RESULTING FROM THE ROLLAWAY OF PARKED VEHICLES AS A RESULT OF INADVERTENTLY MOVING THE SHIFT LEVER FROM THE "PARK" POSITION WHEN THE PARKING BRAKE IS NOT FULLY ENGAGED.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE SHIFT LOCK MODULE FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JANUARY 7, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT SUZUKI AT 1-800-934-0934.
