TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SUZUKI BOULEVARD M109R. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 07V148000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); HOWEVER, THE PART FOR THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. WHILE IDLING IN TRAFFIC AND ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE THE MOTORCYCLE, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING AND CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE CONTACT JUMPED OFF THE VEHICLE AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,800. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
