The front headlamps on this vehicle are not bright enough and it is very hard to see when driving in areas that do not have street lights. Additionally, when it is raining hard, there are lots of puddles on the floor, making it even harder to see when there are obstructions or potholes in the road. I worry about getting into an accident because of low visibility caused by the defective headlamps. I called my local Subaru dealership today (2/22/23) and I asked whether I could fix the problem and then get reimbursed. I was advised not to do that and to let Subaru handle the issue. However, it has been over 5 months since this recall notice was sent out and there still hasn't been any remedy or even an explanation as to why the remedy is taking so long, or when a remedy can even be expected. Being that this is a safety recall that can cause serious accidents on the road, I need your assistance in urging Subaru to take this more seriously and provide a remedy to this ASAP.

While slowly pulling into a parking slot in a Wal-Mart parking lot, the car experienced an abrupt acceleration causing it to lurch forward at full throttle and it struck a parked vehicle in the next space. The accelerator pedal was not depressed.
