Starcraft Bus is recalling certain model year 2009 and 2010 Allstar transit buses manufactured August 20, 2009, through March 30, 2010 and equipped with A & M Systems-brand passenger entrance/exit doors. Voltage spikes may damage the electrical components and electrical circuits of the door actuator, causing the circuit board to develop high resistance.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: High resistance may cause the board to overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Starcraft Bus will notify owners and dealers will replace the affected circuit boards, free of charge. The recall began on March 17, 2014. Owners may contact Starcraft Bus at 1-800-348-7440.
