The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500 used for hauling a 2022 Sport Haven Aluminum Utility 7x14 Trailer. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the rear axle nuts detached, causing the trailer to swerve. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and unhooked the trailer. The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500 used for hauling a 2022 Sport Haven Aluminum Utility 7x14 Trailer. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the rear axle nuts detached, causing the trailer to swerve. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and unhooked the trailer. Upon inspecting the trailer, the contact noticed that the U-bolts were damaged. The contact ratchet strapped the rear axle to the leaf spring and then had a Police escort to Home Depot. The contact then drove to the tractor store, where he purchased and replaced the U-bolts. The dealer was made aware of the failure and reported the failure to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
