TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 RUFF N TUFF CRUISER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SEAT BELTS WILL NOT LATCH INTO THE BUCKLE ASSEMBLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, AND A TECHNICIAN CONCLUDED THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO PAY $180.00 TO REPLACE THE SEAT BELTS, BECAUSE THEY WERE INSTALLED INCORRECTLY. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE. ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES BUILT ON THE FORD MUSTANG GT CHASSIS, THE ANTI-ROLL BAR ATTACHMENT BRACKET ON THE FRONT STRUT CAN SEPARATE FROM THE STRUT HOUSING DUE TO INCONSISTENT WELDING.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: IF THE BROKEN BRACKET CONTACTS THE TIRE, SIDEWALL DAMAGE CAN OCCUR, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A VEHICLE CRASH.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL NEW STRUTS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON SEPTEMBER 18, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT ROUSH AT 1-866-307-6788.
