Summary
IF THE BOLT IS INSTALLED WITH THE THREAD PORTION OF THE BOLT TOWARD THE WHEEL, THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE THREADED PORTION OF THE BOLT AND THE CALIPER HOUSING IS NOT SUFFICIENT. THE BOLT WILL COME IN CONTACT WITH THE CALIPER CAUSING THE BRAKE PAD TO SEPARATE FROM THE BRAKE ROTOR.
Consequence
THIS WILL RESULT IN DECREASED BRAKE EFFECTIVENESS,EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCES AND COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.
Remedy
INSTALLERS WILL INSPECT SUSPENSION FOR PROPER INSTALLATION OF THE LOWER SHOCK MOUNT BOLT REMOVING THE BOLT AND INSTALLING IT CORRECTLY.
