Summary
CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEMS FAILED TO MEET HEAD EXCURSION REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS 213 BECAUSE OF CHILD SEAT BASE DESIGN.
Consequence
SEAT OCCUPANT WOULD FACE INCREASED RISK OF INJURY IN THEEVENT OF A SUDDEN STOP OR ACCIDENT.
Remedy
REPLACE THE CHILD SEAT BASE WITH CORRECTED BASE AND REPAIR KIT FROM THE MANUFACTURER.
