Summary

THE CONNECTOR HALF OF THE SAFETY BELT IS NOT LONG ENOUGH TO ACCOMMODATE A 95TH PERCENTILE ADULT MALE.

Consequence

NONUSE OF THE SAFETY BELT WOULD INCREASE THE RISK ANDSEVERITY OF INJURY IN A SUDDEN STOP OR ACCIDENT; ALSO, TRUCKS WOULD NOT COMPLYWITH FMVSS 209.

Remedy

REPLACE SHORT SAFETY BELT CONNECTOR WITH CONNECTORS LONG ENOUGH TO COMPLY WITH STANDARD.
