GMC CAMPAIGN NO C-74-C-2.INTERCITY COACHES.POSSIBILITY THAT THE STEERINGPROPELLER SHAFT PINCH BOLT ASSEMBLY, LOCATED AT THE STEERING GEAR BOX ON THEFRONT AXLE, MAY HAVE BEEN ASSEMBLED WITH AN EXTRA WASHER WHICH DID NOT ALLOWSUFFICIENT THREAD TO NUT ENGAGEMENT WHEN TORQUEING PINCH BOLT NUT.IF THEPINCH BOLT NUT WORKED FREE, STEERING LOSS COULD OCCUR.(CORRECT BY INSPECTINGAND REPLACING WITH LONGER HARDENED BOLT).
