WILLIAMETTE CAMPAIGN NO N/A.TRAILER.JAN 1 1960 THRU JUL 31 1962.POSSIBILITY THAT THE INDUCTION HARDENING PROCESS IN EFFECT AT NORTH AMERICANROCKWELL'S AXLE PLANT MAY HAVE CREATED HIGH RESIDUAL STRESSES AT THE INNERBEARING SHOULDER AREA.THESE STRESSES MAY TURN INTO PHYSICAL CRACKS UNDEREXTENDED FIELD SERVICE.CONTINUED USE OF THE AXLE AFTER CRACKING HAS OCCURREDMAY CAUSE AXLE SPINDLE TO FRACTURE.(CORRECT BY INSPECTING AND REPLACINGAXLEWHERE NECESSARY.)
