TRAILER.POSSIBILITY THAT INDUCTION HARDENING PROCESS IN EFFECT AT NORTHAMERICAN ROCKWELL'S AXLE PLANT MAY HAVE CREATEDHIGH RESIDUAL STRESSES AT INNERBEARING SHOULDER AREA.THESE STRESSES MAY TURN INTO PHYSICAL CRACKS UNDEREXTENDED FIELD SERVICE.CONTINUED USE OF AXLE AFTER CRACKING MAY CAUSE AXLESPINDLE TO FRACTURE.(CORRECT BY INSPECTING AND REPLACING WITH NEW AXLE.)
