Summary
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain Ford Mustang superchargers with part number M-6066-M8800, that were sold as aftermarket accessory kits for 2024-2025 Mustang vehicles. The powertrain control module (PCM) may experience a software error and disable functional safety features. Deactivated safety features can fail to prevent unintended acceleration or unintended vehicle movement.
Consequence
Unintended acceleration increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will update the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 24, 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25SA7.
