OFFICIAL NHTSA RECALL
17V367000
Vehicle Speed Control
Reported Jun 5, 2017 · Vactor Manufacturing
Summary
Vactor Manufacturing (Vactor) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Vactor Jetter vehicles. In certain conditions, the idle may unexpected rise, allowing the affected vehicles to over power the parking brake.
Consequence
If the parking brake cannot keep the vehicle stationary, there would be an increased risk of a crash.
Remedy
Vactor has notified the affected owners, and dealers will install diodes to keep the idle from rising, free of charge. The recall began on May 30, 2017. Owners may contact Vactor customer service at 1-847-622-7069.
Notes
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
