Two weeks later: Battery dead again; AAA jump-started. Vacation trip: Battery failed 3 more times, requiring jumps. Cross-country trip (MD → Vegas → Utah → Missouri): Multiple battery failures. Observed truck’s interior lights cycling on/off overnight. Diagnostic scan revealed 40 electrical codes. Chicago Dodge Dealer (Oct 2025): Technicians replicated issue and confirmed electrical faults. Chrysler refused to authorize parts, claiming 12V battery at fault. Vehicle has been at dealer over one month. Consumer threaten to be charged for diagnostics, technician time, and rental car. Safety Risk: Vehicle repeatedly fails to start, leaving driver stranded in unsafe locations. Electrical system unpredictably powers on/off, risking fire hazard or system failure while driving. Items such as UConnect, alerts, and lights fail randomly. Owner forced to drive long distances without shutting off engine to avoid being stranded. The 2024 Ram 1500 3.6L V6 E-Torque engine stalls at low speeds. Without warning the engine shuts off and the emergency brake automatically engages, when the truck comes to a stop it shifts into park, and I have to restart the truck. Fortunately this has only happened in parking lots at speeds of around 5mph. This has happened twice so far. The battery voltage dropped from 13.8 volts to 12.2 volts during both stall events. The truck is 1 year old with 15,324 miles on it.

It has been in the shop 5 times for the same problem. This last time was the worst of them all. After restarting it on the way to the dealer it started shutting down the radio, then the ac, and then in middle of a sharp turn it shut of the power steering. Let's just say that a bad way to find out it has electrical power steering. then next it shut down completely with about every light on the dash on. Had to call a tow truck. None of the dealerships it has been to for these issues have been unable to find the cause. The dealerships have been unable to reproduce the issue. i currently do not have the invoices from the dealership it is at but can get them to you in a few days.

The contact stated that the engine braking system failed to activate, and the vehicle independently accelerated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the failure was confirmed. The contact was informed that no repair was available for the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact was informed that the case was closed. The failure mileage was approximately 50.

They have tried to buy the part from other dealers and they won't sell because it's become an issue. I almost got into an accident when the car completly sputtered and shutoff while driving. Happening to my wife today. Put her life at risk. This needs to be address and corrected before someone gets hurt.

Dealership told me they couldn’t do anything about it because it didn’t do it while they had it…. Very dangerous issue, I’ve done a lot of research and all leads back to auto/ stop feature and etorque generator… My truck only has 11,000 miles on it… Please look into this, I have small kids and don’t want them harmed because of a malfunction from my truck… Thank you..

The contact owns a 2024 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving with his family at approximately 70 MPH, several unknown warning lights were illuminated, and the vehicle lost motive power and came to a complete stop in the middle of the highway. Additionally, the hazards lights failed to engage as needed. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer to be diagnosed; however, the dealer informed the contact that the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3,500.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2026 Ram 1500 vehicles. The second-row center and left-side seat belt buckle anchors may have been improperly installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An improperly installed seat belt buckle anchor may fail to properly restrain occupants, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and attach the seat belt buckle anchor to the body structure as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 18, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 67D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov on August 6, 2026.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019 and 2023 Chrysler Pacifica, 2024 Ram 1500, Ram 2500, and 2024-2025 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. Contamination in the central vision processing module or improper programming may cause the rearview camera image not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the central vision processing module software or replace the module, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning July 16, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 46D.
