    ON CERTAIN TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH ACCURIDE ALUMINUM WHEELS, THE WHEELS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY PRE-STRESSED AND MAY EXPERIENCE PREMATURE CRACKING ON THE DISC FACE THAT COULD RESULT IN FAILURE.

    Consequence & remedy

    Consequence: SHOULD THE WHEEL FAIL WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN USE, A VEHICLE CRASH COULD OCCUR, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN INJURY OR DEATH.

    Remedy: ACCURIDE IS CONDUCTING THE OWNER NOTIFICATION AND REMEDY FOR THIS CAMPAIGN AND REPLACE THE WHEELS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 25, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT ACCURIDE AT 1-800-869-2275 OR POLAR AT 1-800-826-6589.
