TRAVELING FROM HOME TO HOUSTON IN JULY 2019 I HAD AN INTERMITTENT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND BLIND SPOT LIGHT COMING ON. RESTARTING THE VEHICLE CLEARED THE FAULT TEMPORARILY. CALLED MB DEALER IN DRAPER AND WAS TOLD THE PROBLEM WAS PROBABLY THE RESULT OF HIGH WINDS EN ROUTE! THE FOLLOWING DAY WE CONTINUED TOWARD DENVER. THE LIGHTS CAME ON AND STAYED ON, ESP AND SPEED CONTROL STOPPED WORKING AND NEAR THE END OF THE DAY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WENT DIRECTLY TO DEALER IN LITTLETON; NO REPAIR APPOINTMENT AVAILABLE FOR MORE THAN A WEEK. WE LEFT FOR A NEARBY HOTEL BUT VEHICLE BECAME ERRATIC TO DRIVE, REFUSING TO SPEED UP AND THEN WHEN TRYING TO STOP FOR TRAFFIC LIGHTS, ETC., VEHICLE SPED UP ON ITS OWN AND WAS VERY HARD TO BRAKE TO STOP AND AVOID HITTING OTHER VEHICLES. RETURNED TO DEALER NEXT MORNING AND LEFT VEHICLE WITH THEM FOR REPAIR AS I CONSIDERED IT TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE IN ITS PRESENT CONDITION. WE HAD TO CONTINUE OUR JOURNEY USING A RENTAL VEHICLE. WHEN WE RETURNED THE GARAGE HAD DIAGNOSED A FAULTY REAR WHEEL SENSOR AND REPLACED IT. WE RETURNED HOME AND IT HAS BEEN OK SINCE ALTHOUGH THE EXPERIENCE WAS SO WORRYING AT THE TIME THAT I SERIOUSLY CONSIDERED SELLING THE VEHICLE.
