Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2018-2023 T-Series Pure Electric and 2024-2026 e-TRIEVER terminal trucks. The driver's side door handles may be missing a lock. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 206, "Door Locks and Door Retention Components."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A door that cannot be locked may open unexpectedly during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: OEV field service will replace the door handles, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 13, 2026. Owners may contact OEV customer service at 1-866-688-5223. OEV's number for this recall is 2026-SRC-01.

Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2017-2024 T-Series, 2023-2025 e-TRIEVER, and HUSK-e terminal trucks. The hazard warning lights may turn off when the ignition is in the 'Off' position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Hazard lights that do not remain on cannot warn other drivers of a disabled vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: OEV field service will install a new hazard light wire harness and update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed by November 24, 2025. Owners may contact OEV customer service at 1-866-688-5223. OEV's number for this recall is 2025-SRC-07.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Consequence: Obstructed rear lights can reduce the vehicle's visibility to pedestrians or other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Owners are advised to limit on-road use while operating without a trailer until the remedy is completed. OEV will relocate the rear taillights and replace the original with combination lights, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed February 21, 2025. Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2017-2024 T-Series and 2023-2024 e-TRIEVER terminal trucks. The Emergency Response Guide (ERG), operator, maintenance, and service manuals incorrectly state that the emergency stop button in the vehicle cab will shut off and lock out the high voltage system.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Incorrect lockout instructions can mislead the operator into thinking the high voltage system is shut down, increasing the risk of injury by electrical shock.
Remedy: OEV will provide corrected ERG, operator, and maintenance manuals and add additional warning labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 20, 2024. Owners may contact OEV customer service at 1-866-688-5223. OEV's number for this recall is 2024-SRC-01.

Orange EV (Orange) is recalling certain 2019-2021 EV-T Series Pure Electric Terminal trucks. The pitman arm bolt may have been incorrectly tightened, allowing the bolt to loosen.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loose bolt may allow the pitman arm to detach from the steering box, causing a loss of steering and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: OEV Service Technicians will tighten or replace the pitman arm bolt, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on November 18, 2021. Owners may contact Orange customer service at 1-866-688-5223.
