Truma water heater fire: Model Serial No: DLE 60G 32123091 The water heater had loose internal gas fittings due to improper manufacture by Truma. This is our 2nd water heater with this issue. Flame shot out of the heater cavity heating and starting to char wiring.

The Truma water heater made loud booming noises when igniting. Upon inspection fire and flames were shooting out of the firebox and engulfing the controls. We shut down the unit by turning off the power switch. We had a new unit shipped to our location and installed by a technician. The old unit was shipped back directly to Truma for inspection . We have yet to hear back from Truma on the status of that investigation. This incident occurred in early January 2022.

Nov 20, 2024

Oliver Travel Trailers, INC. (OTT) is recalling certain 2016-2024 Elite I and Elite II travel trailers equipped with a Truma Aqua Go Water Heater with Burner Assembly, part number 77000-90400. The water heater burner bracket assembly may become loose, causing wiring damage and the flame to be misdirected.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A misdirected flame increases the risk of fire or burn injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the water heater burner assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed mailed December 3, 2024. Owners may contact OTT customer service at 1-888-526-3978.

24V322000 · Trailer Hitches

May 9, 2024

Oliver Travel Trailers, INC. (OTT) is recalling certain 2009-2024 Elite II trailers. The towing coupler may be under rated for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of the trailer.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: An underrated towing coupler can break, allowing the trailer to detach from the tow vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the towing coupler, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 13, 2024. Owners may contact OTT customer service at 1-888-526-3978.

19V897000 · SUSPENSION:REAR:AXLE:NON-POWERED Axle Assembly

Oliver Travel Trailers Inc. (Oliver) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Elite II travel trailers. The nuts and bolts that secure the brake drum to the axle shaft flange may not have been properly tightened.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: The improperly tightened axle bolts/nuts may affect the trailer's braking ability or result in the hub and wheel becoming detached from the axle, increasing the risk of crash.

Remedy: Oliver has notified owners, and Dexter Axle dealers will retorque the bolts, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began December 20, 2019. Owners may contact Oliver customer service at 1-866-205-2621 or Dexter Axle customer service at 1-574-295-7888. Oliver's number for this recall is 1ZP-ABC19-12.
