Consequence: A low brake air pressure warning light that fails to illuminate when the engine is off will not alert the driver to a low brake pressure condition, increasing the risk of a crash if the parking brake is disengaged before starting the engine.

Remedy: Nova Bus will update the firmware, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed by July 17, 2026. Consequence: A seat that falls unexpectedly increases the risk of injury to passengers in or near to the seat.

Remedy: Nova Bus will replace the attachment brackets, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed by April 10, 2026. Consequence: Hot coolant that leaks into the passenger seating area increases the risk of injury.

Consequence: A seat belt that does not retract properly may result in a loose seat belt, which can increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Remedy: Nova Bus will install additional seat stoppers to the driver's rear partition, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 4, 2025. Nova's number for this recall is CR5635. This recall expands and replaces previous recall number 23V-350. Vehicles that were previously recalled under 23V-350 will need to have the new remedy completed.

Consequence: In an emergency, the incorrect placement of the window exit release and label instructions or the insufficient window opening may prevent or delay the use of the emergency exit, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Nova Bus will either remove the emergency exit window feature, and/or relocate the release mechanism, label, and chime cord stop-request system, as necessary, free of charge. Consequence: The colorful lighting may cause confusion by distracting other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Consequence: Reduced visibility of the brake and tail lights can increase the risk of a crash.

Consequence: Leaking coolant could come into contact with passengers, increasing their risk of injury.

Consequence: If an sign falls, there is an increased risk of injury to anyone under or standing near the sign.

Consequence: If the seat belt anchorage assembly separates from the J-Bracket, the bus driver may not be properly restrained in the event of a crash increasing their risk of injury.

Remedy: Nova will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the seats for missing welds. If missing welds are found, the seats will be repaired, free of charge. The recall began on June 8, 2016. Consequence: A passenger could be injured if their arm is caught in the door.

Remedy: Nova will notify owners, and dealers will install a longer protective cover over the passenger counter system and add a warning label, free of charge. The recall began on November 23, 2015. Consequence: If the windshield wiper linkage loosens from the wiper motor, the wipers may become inoperable, reducing the driver's visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.

Consequence: If the ABS malfunction light does not illuminate if the ABS control unit loses power, the driver would not be aware that the ABS is not functional and that the brakes may unexpectedly lock up under certain conditions when the brakes are applied, increasing the risk of crash.
