I HAVE A '97 & '99 NISSAN SENTRA GXE & BOTH HAVE SUFFERED THE SAME AC PROBLEM - THE AUXILIARY FAN ( AIR CON COOLING FAN) STOPPED WORKING FOR BOTH WHEN THEY HAD RELATIVELY LOW MILES ON THEM - 30000 - 45000 MILES FOR THE '97 & 32000 MILES FOR THE '99. ON THE '97 BECAUSE WE NEVER GOT TO KNOW FROM REGULAR SERVICING THAT THE FAN WASN'T WORKING, THE AC COMPRESSOR STOPPED WORKING & WE WERE LEFT WITH CHANGING THE WHOLE AIR CON SYSTEM FOR OVER $900. ON THE '99 THE FAN HAS JUST BEEN DIAGNOSED - THE AIR CON COMPRESSOR STILL SEEMS FINE. THESE PROBLEMS WERE DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER & WE WERE TOLD THAT "LIKE THE '97, THE '99 WILL NEED A NEW AC COMPRESSOR IF WE DON'T QUICKLY REPLACE THE FAN." *JB
