Glass is all over inside the back of my car and behind it. I'm thankful no one was in that whole area! I called my insurance that day and they contacted SAFELITE immediately and set up and appointment to have them come and replace it here in my garage, although it has taken 6 days. 6 days without a vehicle! I have since learned there is Class Action Law Suit on this ongoing matter.

26V080000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:engine:hard Parts Internal/mechanical

Feb 11, 2026

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Rogue vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines. Increased temperatures can break down the engine oil, which may cause the engine bearings to seize and become damaged, leading to engine failure.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Engine failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. A bearing failure may cause a breach in the engine block, allowing hot oil to be discharged, increasing the risk of an engine fire.

Remedy: Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software, inspect for diagnostic trouble codes, and test drive the vehicle, free of charge. The dealer may also inspect the oil pan for metal debris, and replace the engine if necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 8, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R25E2 and R25E3. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 25V437. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning February 27, 2026.
