When traveling more than 10-15 miles, the FEB/ICC warning comes on without notice or reason, disables the cruise control and slows the car suddenly. There is no way to reset it without stopping the vehicle and restarting it. Took Service Bulletin NTB19-033a to the Action Nissan dealer in Nashville, TN. Despite it clearly indicating that my 2017 Nissan Pathfinder is covered, they claim it is not. This is a major safety issue that Nissan clearly has identified. It needs to be fixed.

MOST NOTABLY, WHEN I'M USING ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, MY CRUISE CONTROL DISENGAGES AND MY CAR ALERTS ME THAT THE FEB [FORWARD EMERGENCY BRAKING] - AKA - AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING - IS "UNAVAILABLE" DUE TO "FRONT RADAR OBSTRUCTION" THIS HAPPENS AT VERY RANDOM TIMES, AT LEAST EVERY OTHER DAY, DURING NORMAL HIGHWAY AND CITY DRIVING. IT IS ALWAYS A CLEAR DAY, NEVER A DROP OF RAIN, NOT EVEN RUNNING OVER A RANDOM BUMP IN THE ROAD OR A POTHOLE. THEN RANDOMLY, ANYWHERE BETWEEN WHAT FEELS LIKE 5 - 30 MINUTES AFTER INITIAL ALERT, THE WARNING CLEARS ITSELF. I PURCHASED THE CAR USED IN JULY 2020 AND THIS HAS BEEN A CONSTANT ANNOYANCE EVER SINCE. I'M AWARE THAT OTHER NISSAN MODELS AROUND THE SAME YEAR (2017) HAVE BEEN HAVING THE SAME ISSUES WITH THE SENSOR.

Nov 8, 2019

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2015-2018 Nissan Murano, 2016-2018 Nissan Maxima, and 2017-2019 Nissan Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60 vehicles. These vehicles were previously recalled and unrepaired, or inspected and determined to not need a repair, under recall number 18V-601. In addition, this recall expands the previous population. Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A brake fluid leak on the circuit board may result in an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ABS actuator, free of charge. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available, currently expected to be during summer 2020. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Note: If the ABS warning light remains illuminated for more than 10 seconds after engine start up, owners are advised to park the vehicle outdoors away from other vehicles or structures and to not drive the vehicle.
