I BEGAN HAVING A DIFFICULT TIME UNLOCKING MY DOORS WITH THE KEY. THEN THE POWER LOCKS BEGAN LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THEMSELVES AT DIFFERENT TIMES. SOMETIMES WHEN I OPENED OR SHUT THE DOOR AND OTHER TIMES WHILE DRIVING. THE WORST PROBLEM WAS THE TIME I LEFT THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION AND GOT OUT OF THE CAR. WHEN I SHUT THE DOOR THE DOORS ALL LOCKED. LUCKILY THE CAR WAS NOT RUNNING NOR WAS THERE A SMALL CHILD IN THE CAR. I HAD TO GET A RIDE TO MY WIFE'S EMPLOYMENT TO GET A SPARE KEY TO GET BACK INTO THE CAR. THERE APPEARS TO BE A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THIS PROBLEM BUT APPEARENTLY NISSAN DOES NOT SEE IT AS A PROBLEM. THEY HAVE NEVER CONTACTED ME EVEN THOUGH I HAVE WRITTEN THEM TWO LETTERS. IT IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION THAT DOES NEED TO BE CORRECTED. SUPPOSE A CHILD HAD BEEN IN THE CAR WHEN THE DOORS LOCKED WITH THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION OR AN ACCIDENT OCCURRED AND THE DOORS LOCKED AND NO ONE COULD GET IN OR OUT.
HOOD SUPPORTS GAVE WAY WITHOUT WARNING; HOOD CAME CRASHING DOWN. WAS CHECKING FLUIDS AT THE TIME, SAW HOOD MOVEMENT OUT OF PERIPHERAL VISION, JUST IN TIME. NEXT TIME I HAD HOOD UP TO FILL WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID, HOOD CAME DOWN SUDDENLY AGAIN, BUT I WAS WATCHING FOR IT THIS TIME. COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED OR HEAD & NECK INJURY.
SUNVISORS ARE WEAK. WHILE DRIVING THEY FALL DOWN AND AFFECT CONSUMER'S VISION. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK

Dec 15, 1995
IT IS POSSIBLE FOR A MIXTURE OF MUD AND SALT TO GET TRAPPED BETWEEN THE FUEL FILLER TUBE AND WHEEL HOUSING. THE TRAPPED MUD AND SALT CAN RESULT IN CORROSION OF THE FUEL FILLER TUBE AND THE WHEEL HOUSING.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: SIGNIFICANT CORROSION OF THE FUEL FILLER TUBE MAY RESULT IN FUEL LEAKS WHICH IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE COULD RESULT IN A FIRE. IN ADDITION, THE LEFT REAR SEAT BELT RETRACTOR IS MOUNTED TO THE WHEEL HOUSING AND IN THE EVENT OF SIGNIFICANT CORROSION, AND THE MOUNTING COULD FAIL IN A VEHICLE CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THESE VEHICLES AND CORRECTIVE ACTION WILL BE TAKEN DEPENDING UPON THE EXTENT OF THE CORROSION.
94V194000 · Wheels

THE ALUMINUM WHEELS WERE CLEAR COATED SEVERAL TIMES TO PROTECT THE METAL FINISH. SOME EXCESSIVE COATING CAN LEAVE THE WHEEL NUTS AN EXCESSIVE DISTANCE FROM THE WHEEL HUB WHEN TIGHTENED, ALLOWING THEM TO LOOSEN OVER TIME.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THIS CAN CAUSE THE HUB BOLTS TO BREAK AND RESULT IN THE WHEEL SEPARATING FROM THE VEHICLE AND A POSSIBLE ACCIDENT.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REMOVE THE CLEAR PLASTIC COATING FROM THE BRAKE ROTOR MATING SURFACE ON THE BACK OF EACH WHEEL AND FROM THE WHEEL NUT MATING SURFACES. THE WHEELS WILL BE REINSTALLED AND THE WHEEL NUTS TIGHTENED. WHEELS, HUB BOLTS, AND NUTS WILL BE REPLACED IF NECESSARY.
