On August 5, 2026, an authorized Nissan dealer performed safety recall PMA66 / NHTSA 26V-331 on my 2025 Nissan Kicks SR. The vehicle’s combination meter/instrument cluster had been functioning normally before the recall. During the recall software update, the programming failed and the original combination meter became unrecoverable. After consultation with Nissan Techline, Nissan authorized replacement of the combination meter. The replacement meter was installed and the vehicle was returned on August 11, 2026. Immediately afterward, several new problems were discovered that did not exist before the recall repair: vehicle speed is displayed in km/h instead of MPH even though U.S./miles units are selected; the TPMS/tire-pressure information screen is missing; the lane-assistance/driver-assistance information screen is missing; and Traffic Sign Recognition no longer displays detected speed-limit signs. Additional affected functions may not yet have been identified. These conditions were reported to the dealer and Nissan Consumer Affairs. Nissan Consumer Affairs advised on August 21 that the recall/remedy is under review, that there is currently no approved repair procedure and no estimated timeline, and that it could neither confirm nor deny whether the vehicle is safe to drive. The vehicle is available for inspection. No crash, fire, injury, or death has occurred. I am reporting this because a safety-recall repair failed, the Nissan-authorized replacement introduced new incorrect or missing safety-related display functions, and Nissan currently has no approved procedure to restore the vehicle

I received a recall notice on my 2025 Nissan Kicks. I took my vehicle to the dealer where I purchased it to get the recall repaired on 8/7/2026. The repair was quoted to be completed within 2 hours. After 5 hours the repairs were not completed and my vehicle is inoperable. I was provided a loaner car to use while my vehicle is there. I have kept in contact with the manufacturer (called on 8/14/26) and the dealer over the last two weeks. I have not been provided much information other than my car is inoperable and that there are several other Nissan Kicks that are in the same condition. I was told by the Nissan Company that their engineers will have to come up with a fix and that I need to contact the dealer for further information. I have been over two weeks without my vehicle and still have no answers. My car was working fine when it was taken in for the recall repaired, now my vehicle is at the dealership and not running at all.

My family and I departed the dealership around 7:27 PM with our 2025 Nissan Kicks that only had 4,500 miles on it. My step son and I were driving the new car home. We got maybe a mile from our house and I heard a small pop and started smelling gas really bad. Once we pulled onto our road I heard another pop, all of the lights came on the dash and a bunch of white smoke came from the hood of the car. I put the car in park and turned the engine off and got me and my step son out to the car. We went into the field next to the car and as soon as we crossed the road, there were flames coming out of the hood.

On 05.28.2026 my car veered sporadically to the right causing my tire to hit the curb as I was going under a viaduct with a high curb I lost my hub cap and damaged my rim slightly. Now my wheel is at a constant angle to the left, and veers sporadically left and right. After being in a reddit forum and seeing other people had this problem and it should be covered under warranty. However, I was told I would still have to pay for an alignment because its needed after a a bushing is replaced. If the bushing was defective and caused my wheel alignment to be off then why do I have to pay? I dont mind... I'm just curious

Upon inspection by a certified technician, the windshield was found to have a stress crack. The repair evaluation confirmed there is no visible point of strike or impact from road debris. Although similar issues are commonly reported, the manufacturer denied knowledge of any widespread problem and refused to cover the repair costs. Previous management of this concern was negligent in addressing the defect. I have videos, photos of the damage, and a copy of the repair receipt available as evidence.

About 15 minutes after starting car and about 5 miles, I was making a right turn from a stop sign. Made almost a complete turn and the car stopped moving. Engine revved from depressing accelerator and car did not move (except for backwards due to being on an incline). Applied the brakes. Looked to make sure I was in gear and I was. Display said D for drive and gear selector was in D. For about after 10 seconds of wondering what was happening, the transmission engaged and I was able to continue. Called Nissan and was told as long as it's driving now, they will look at it at my next service (10,000 m).
