2022 Nissan Kicks

Someone was on a handheld scooter on the sidewalk and when reaching the corner, turned right abruptly still remaining on the sidewalk. My car slammed on the brakes believing this person was entering the street or was already in the street? The vehicle behind me swerved out of the way because it was going to hit me. I have no warning when it’s going to happen and it could lead to an accident. I have read countless other stories online of people with Nissan Kicks who are experiencing the same issue.
