TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN JUKE EQUIPPED WITH CONTINENTAL CONTI SPORT CONTACT TIRES, SIZE: 225/45/R18YKL (NA). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TREAD ON THE TIRES WAS VERY THIN AND ALMOST INVISIBLE. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE TIRES PROVIDED NO TRACTION. ALL FOUR TIRES EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE TIRES WERE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT. THE TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,885.

18V086000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic:foundation Components:master Cylinder

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Nissan Juke Nismo RS vehicles. Due to a problem within the brake master cylinder, brake fluid may leak into the brake booster, reducing brake performance.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: If brake fluid leaks into the brake booster it can lengthen the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake master cylinder, free of charge. The recall began March 19, 2018. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
