NO BODY CAN FIX THE BRAKING SYSTEM IN MY CAR. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET THEM DONE FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS. 4 + TIMES. I'M NOW BEING TOLD THAT THE REASON BEING IS BECAUSE THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE UNIVERSALS, CALIPERS, BEARINGS ROTORS AND MORE. WAS TOLD THAT IF THE PROBLEM WAS TAKEN CARE OF FROM THE BEGINNING THAT THE CAR WOULDN'T NEED AS MUCH WORK NOW. WAS QUOTED OVER 1,000 IN BRAKING SYSTEM WORK NEEDED TO BE DONE. THIS CAR IS ONLY A 1995. MY 1991 WAS A TANK COMPARED TO THIS ONE. I HATE THIS CAR. NISSAN CORPORATE HAS BEEN NOTIFIED SEVERAL TIMES IN REGARDS TO THIS PROBLEM AND THE PAINT PEELING OFF IN THE FRONT END. AT THIS TIME, I DON'T HAVE THE VIN # WITH ME. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR. JUST HEARD A LOUD CRASHING SOUND IN THE REAR END LAST NIGHT. *AK

SHIFTER COMPONENT HAS HAD TO BE REPLACED 3 TIMES IN 5 YEARS DUE TO INTERNAL PARTS BREAKING WHICH PREVENT THE SHIFTER BUTTON FROM BEING PUSHED IN AND THUS LOCKING THE CAR IN THE PARK SETTING.

94V135000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic:brake Fluid Low Warning: Lamp

Jul 25, 1994

THE INSTRUMENT PANEL BRAKE WARNING LIGHT WILL NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN THE MASTER CYLINDER DROPS SUFFICIENTLY TO ACTIVATE THE LOW LEVEL SWITCH DUE TO AN IMPROPERLY WIRED DIODE, REQUIRED BY FMVSS NO. 105, "HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEMS."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: CONSEQUENCE OF NON-COMPLIANCE: THERE WOULD BE NO INDICATION TO THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE THAT BRAKE FLUID WAS LOW. LOW BRAKE FLUID CAN BE CAUSED BY A LEAK IN THE SYSTEM WHICH MAY RESULT IN PARTIAL OR COMPLETE LOSS OF BRAKES AND AN ACCIDENT.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL CORRECT THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT FOR THE BRAKE WARNING SYSTEM SO THAT THE WARNING LAMP WILL ILLUMINATE WHEN THE LOW LEVEL SWITCH IS ACTIVATED.
