VEHICLE WINDSHIELD BROKE TWICE. *MR WHILE STILL UNDER WARRANTY, THE COACH HAD BROKEN TWO WINDSHIELDS WHILE IN THE PROCESS OF LEVELING, WHICH WAS DONE AUTOMATICALLY. THE FACTORY REPLACED THEM UNDER WARRANTY. THERE WAS CONSTANT CORRESPONDENCE WITH THE FACTORY FOR THE PAST YEAR AS THE PROBLEM WAS NEVER SOLVED DURING WARRANTY.…

00V254001 · Exterior Lighting:brake Lights:switch

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTOR HOME CHASSIS. THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE A MIS-ROUTED WIRE HARNESS THAT ATTACHES TO THE BRAKE PEDAL POSITION SWITCH. THE WIRE COULD RUB ON THE STEERING COLUMN, RESULTING IN A SHORT CIRCUIT AND A BLOWN FUSE, CAUSING A LOSS OF STOP LAMP FUNCTION.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: THIS WOULD FAIL TO WARN A FOLLOWING DRIVER THAT THE VEHICLE IS BRAKING AND COULD LEAD TO A CRASH.

Remedy: FORD DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND, IF NECESSARY, REPAIR THE WIRE HARNESS TO THE BRAKE PEDAL SWITCH.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: CLASS A MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH SAFETY BELT ASSEMBLIES BUILT BY AM-SAFE. ON SOME SEAT BELTS, THE BUCKLE AND CONNECTOR MAY UNLATCH DURING A COLLISION.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH COULD OCCUR IF THE VEHICLE OCCUPANT IS NOT PROPERLY RESTRAINED.

Remedy: AM-SAFE IN NOTIFYING CUSTOMERS THAT THEY WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE BUCKLE ASSEMBLIES FREE OF CHARGE.
