2008 MONACO MONARCH RV. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO REPAIRS OF THE LEVELING SYSTEM. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED WHILE DRIVING, THE SELF-LEVELERS DEPLOYED CAUSING THE ALARMS TO GO OFF. THERE WAS A THUD AND LOUD SCRAPING SOUND. HE IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER AND DISCOVERED THE REAR LEVERS HAD FULLY EXTENDED AND THE REAR TIRE WERE FOUR INCHES OFF THE PAVEMENT. THE FRONT LEVERS WERE ALSO ON THE GROUND. THE CONSUMER ATTEMPTED TO MANUALLY TURN THE PUMP WITH AN ELECTRIC DRILL PER TECHNICAL SUPPORT INSTRUCTIONS. HOWEVER, THE NUT IMMEDIATELY BACKED OFF. HE RE-TIGHTENED THE NUT, AND THE MOTOR EASILY ROTATED INDICATING THE MOTOR WAS FREE TO ROTATE. WITH THE HELP OF A MOTOR TECH, HE AND THE CONSUMER WERE ABLE TO RELEASE PRESSURE FROM THE HYDRAULIC LINES, AND THE COACH DROPPED TO THE GROUND. IN THE PAST, THE CONSUMER HAD SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH THE LEVELERS: SUCH AS HYDRAULIC FLUID LEAKING, LEAKING HOSES, AND OIL IN THE MOTOR DUE TO A FAULTY COUPLER SEAL. THE UNIT WAS EVENTUALLY REPLACED. *JB
