The contact owns a 2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at the independent mechanic for a service appointment, the contact was informed that the front and rear differentials were failing. The contact was informed of the clicking sound when the steering wheel was turned in either direction. The contact was informed that the front and rear differentials needed to be replaced. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 39,000.
