IT APPEARS THAT THE FRAMES WERE MADE WITH BAD STEEL, AS THE SPRING HANGERS ARE FINE, IT SEEMS TO BE JUST THE FRAME. *JS

3 reportsRUSTED, ROTTED OUT CHASSIS / FRAME. NOT SURFACE RUST! NO RUST ON THE REST OF THE TRUCK. TRUCK IS UNSAFE AND UNUSABLE. ONLY GOT HALF THE EXPECTED LIFE EXPECTED OUT OF A HEAVY DUTY TRUCK. I HAVE OWNED 100 TRUCKS OF EVERY MAKE AND THIS IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN. REPORTED TO MANUFACTUER WITH NO RESPONSE. *JS

CHASSIS / FRAME IS TOTALLY DETERIORATED FROM RUST WHICH HAS DESTROYED THE STEEL. THIS IS NOT SURFACE RUST. IT HAS ROTTED AWAY TO THE POINT THAT THE TRUCK CAN NOT SAFELY CARRY A LOAD AND WOULD BE UNSAFE ON THE ROAD. THIS IS NOT EXPECTED ON A 10 YEAR OLD TRUCK AND GONE UNDETECTED COULD HAVE DISASTROUS. THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN FLEET MAINTAINED, POWER WASHED, UNDERCOATED AND PAINTED ON A REGULAR BASIS. FOR SAFETY REASONS HAVE BEEN FORCED TO REMOVE THIS TRUCK FROM SERVICE 5-10 YEARS PREMATURELY. THE DEFECT HAS BEEN REPORTED TO THE MANUFACTURER WITH NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OR RESPONSE. *JS
