Micro Bird USA LLC (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2025-2027 G5e school buses. A wiring harness may have been incorrectly routed. A metal bracket may contact and damage the harness, causing a loss of drive power.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loss of driver power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Micro Bird will inspect, replace, and properly secure the wiring harness as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 10, 2026. Owners can contact Micro Bird's Customer Service at 819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 26-122-HVC.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2019, 2021-2026 G5E school buses. The power steering pump may fail to start when the ignition is turned on or may shutdown unexpectedly.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loss of power steering assist can increase the risk of a crash.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2025-2026 G5e school buses. The transmission interlock may allow the vehicle to be put into gear when the rear emergency door is locked. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An emergency exit that is locked can prevent or delay occupants from exiting the vehicle during an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair the transmission interlock as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 27, 2025. Owners can contact Micro Bird Customer Service at 819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 25-115-EUS.
