I HAVE REPEATEDLY REPORTED THE LOUD TICKING NOISE WHICH THE LIFTERS MAKE ONLY WITH A COLD ENGINE, HOWEVER THE DEALER IS PATRONIZING, AND THE LAST CALL TO SCHEDULE A REPLACEMENT WAS MET WITH AN ABSOLUTE REFUSAL TO TO DO ANYTHING. THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID THAT NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES HE REPLACED THE LIFTERS THE NOISE WOULD EVENTUALLY REOCCUR. I HAVE THEREFORE A DEFECTIVE ENGINE WHICH SHOULD BE CORRECTED, BUT EVEN MAZDA HEADQUARTERS REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING. I AM DEALING WITH THE DELAER IN PALMETTO, FLORIDA WHICH IS NOT THE DEALER FROM WHOM I PURCHASED THE CAR. I FEEL THAT THE RICK CASE WOULD CORRECT THIS PROBLEM, HOWEVER THIS NOT BEING THE ORIGINAL DEALER , COULD CARE LESS. MY MECHANIC QUOTED ME THE PRICE TO REPLACE THESE LIFTERS WHICH RAN $800.00. I AM APPALLED, AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THIS IS A RECALL ITEM. THANKS. *AK
