My daughter was driving on the freeway at 75-80mph on the morning of April 19th, 2025. The rear passenger tire blew out without any prior symptoms or warnings. Surrounding cars slowed down, or got out of the way because the other drivers saw her struggles to maintain her lane and direct the car to the shoulder of the freeway. …

My daughter was driving on the freeway at 75-80mph on the morning of April 19th, 2025. The rear passenger tire blew out without any prior symptoms or warnings. Surrounding cars slowed down, or got out of the way because the other drivers saw her struggles to maintain her lane and direct the car to the shoulder of the freeway. AAA was called to change the tire to the safety spare. The tire remains with us, and the NHTSA is the initial entity that I am filing a report to.
