THE FELT WHEEL LINER ON BOTH FRONT WHEELS IS DEFECTIVE. MASERATI ALONG WITH ALL DEALERS I'VE SPOKEN TO KNOW OF THE ISSUE. I SPOKE TO THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE COLLECTION/MASERATI IN MIAMI AND HE STATED THEY ARE REPLACING THEM EVERY SINGLE DAY (YET MASERATI REFUSES TO FIX THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT UNDER WARRANTY). THEY BECOME TORN AND DISLODGED WHEN GOING THROUGH PUDDLES/NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS (WHEN IT'S RAINING). ONCE DISLODGED, IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD. NOT ONLY CAN THEY FLY UP UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE AND HIT OBJECTS/VEHICLES/PEOPLE, BUT THEIR DISLOCATION CAN RUN AGAINST THE WHEEL AND CAUSE A SERIES OF ADVERSE EVENTS, EVEN THE POSSIBILITY OF LOSING CONTROL. MASERATI KNOWS OF THE ISSUE, IS CONCEALING THE ISSUE, HAS REFUSED TO PROVIDE A RECALL FOR THE DEFECTIVE WHEEL LINERS, AND ARE INSTEAD FORCING THE CONSUMER TO MITIGATE IT ON THEIR OWN.

IN 2015 I LEASED A MASERATI GHIBLI AT RUSNAK PASADENA CA WITH A 39 MONTH LEASE TERM. ON MAY 18, 2018 - I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR A OIL CHANGE SERVICE AT A LOCAL DEALER (MASERATI ALFA ROMEO OF PUENTE HILLS, CA), SERVICE'S DONE AROUND 2:56 PM(5/18/2018) , I DROVE THE CAR FOR APPROXIMATELY 2-3 HOURS TO RUN SOME ERRANDS, ALL THE SUDDEN THE BRAKE SYSTEM LOCKED ALL WHEELS WHILE WE WERE DRIVING ON THE CITY STREET. LUCKY, WE WERE DRIVING ON LOCAL STREET AT AVERAGE SPEED OF 30 MPH, OTHER WISE THIS SUDDEN STOP COULD HAVE GET US HIT BY OTHER CARS AND/OR SUSTAINING A SERIOUS HEAD INJURY RESULTING FROM A ROLLOVER CAR ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS SUDDEN 'AUTO BRAKE LOCK' ON CITY STREET. THIS SUDDEN 'AUTO BREAK LOCK' MADE A VERY LOUD SQUEAKING SOUND AND MADE A BLACK TRACK MARK ON THE ROAD. ALL THREE OF US ON THE CAR WERE TERRIFIED. OUR CAR'S DASH BOARD DID NOT SHOW ANY WARNING LIGHT OR SERVICE LIGHT BEFORE OR AFTER THIS HAPPENED (BRAKE MELT FUNCTION). THIS CAR IS BRAND NEW WHEN I LEASED IT IN 2015 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE AROUND '15196' MILES. SINCE IT STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY THEN THE CAR DEALER WILL REPAIR FOR FREE. IT'S ALREADY BEEN SIT IN THE DEALER REPAIR SHOP FOR ALMOST TWO MONTHS NOW, UNTIL TODAY(7/5/2018) THE DEALER STILL HASN'T PROVIDE A PROPER EXPLANATION OF WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED? AND I DON'T WANT TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE THIS CAR, I AM SO CONCERNED AND WORRIED IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. IT IS SO SCARY WHEN THE CAR STOPS ABRUPTLY BY ITSELF, AND THE PART REALLY BOTHERS ME IS I DON'T KNOW WHEN THIS 'AUTO BRAKE LOCKING' WILL HAPPEN AGAIN? Maserati North America, Inc. (Maserati) is recalling certain 2014-2015 Maserati Quattroporte and Ghibli vehicles. During production of the fuel lines, the lines may have been damaged, possibly resulting in a fuel leak.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel line assemblies, free of charge, unless previously repaired under recall 17V-045. The recall began January 15, 2019. Maserati North America, Inc. (Maserati) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Quattroporte and Ghibli vehicles manufactured February 1, 2013, to September 18, 2015. During the assembly process, the rear tie-rod to hub assembly attaching bolt may not have been properly tightened.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: An improperly tightened rear tie-rod to hub carrier assembly attaching bolt may allow the tie-rod to separate from the hub carrier, resulting in a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the left and right rear tie-rod to hub carrier assembly attaching bolts to verify that they are properly tightened, replacing the rear tie-rod to hub carrier assembly as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin during July 2016. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 1-877-696-2737. Maserati's number for this recall is 303.

Maserati North America, Inc. (Maserati) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Quattroporte and Ghibli vehicles manufactured February 1, 2013, to November 30, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the driver-side floor mat anchor may break allowing the floor mat to move and get trapped between the accelerator pedal and the vehicle carpet.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: If the floor mat moves and becomes trapped between the accelerator and the vehicle carpet, it may result in very high vehicle speeds, which could cause a crash, serious injury or death.

Remedy: Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver-side floor mat and possibly the accelerator pedal cover, free of charge. The recall began April 29, 2016. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 1-877-696-2737. Maserati's number for this recall is 301. Note: These vehicles are equipped with a brake override system. In the event a pedal is trapped, pushing on the brake pedal will brake the vehicle and enable the driver to slow and stop and turn off the vehicle.

Consequence: The improper crimp can cause a fuel leak and, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire.

Remedy: Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the entire fuel delivery line, free of charge. The recall began in October 2014. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 1-877-696-2737. Maserati's number for this recall is 256.
