2018 Lincoln Mkc

My car was recalled by Lincoln in May 2023 because a battery sensor causes the car to catch on fire anytime, on or off. I have had my car in to Lincoln 2 times since then and there are no parts to fix the recall. Lincoln says the sensors are on back order and they don't know when they will be available, no end date. My car can combust at anytime and Lincoln has no idea when they will have the part to fix it! There are 143, 000 cars in this recall and since May when Lincoln finally announced the recall, there have been no parts available to fix the recall since they made the announcement.

My car has 2 recalls 1. RISK OF UNDERHOOD FIRE and 2. pcm reprogramming recall, Took my car to Lincoln service center they only fixed the 2nd one which is the PCM reprogramming. They called me and said my car is ready for pick up. After couple of hours I’ll check in your website STILL the under hood fire recall wasn’t fix so what should I do. This is too UNSAFETY to drive and park i need your help thank you

Additionally, the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. When purchasing new tires today, we were informed that we needed to replace the lug nuts as the lug nut wrench no longer fit the top of the nuts. We were told that they often have this problem with Lincolns and some Fords. He said they could "force" the old ones back on, but the next time they would have to be cut off and replaced. We researched this problems and found that others had the same problem. This is not acceptable - especially if out on the road and we get a flat tire. I only wonder if the recent accident when a tire flew off the truck on the freeway and hit another car causing it to flip over was because their lug nuts were "forced" on. This cost us an additional $60 and would have been even more if they would have had to cut the old ones off.
