CAR INVOLVED IS A 1994 LINCOLN MARK VIII. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN GARAGE, ENGINE OFF AND KEY OUT OF IGNITION. THE CAR CAUGHT FIRE IN MY GARAGE AT 1:30 AM DUE TO THE BRAKE DE-ACTIVATION SWITCH, AS I HAVE RESEARCHED AFTER THE INCIDENT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH FORD LINCOLN MERCURY VEHICLES. FORTUNATELY I HAPPEN TO HEAR THE ALARM GOING OFF, OTHERWISE MY ENTIRE HOME WOULD HAVE GONE UP IN FLAMES. THE RIGHT FENDER WELL, AIR SUSPENSION AND ENGINE WIRING HARNESS, HOOD AND ALL COMPONENTS OF THAT SECTION OF THE CAR WERE DESTROYED. PART OF MY GARAGE FLOORING WAS DESTROYED IN THE FIRE. THE PARTS ARE STILL IN MY POSSESSION AND THE CAR IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED. PARTS ARE COSTLY. *JB
