THE PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE STRUTS BECAUSE THE SAME PROBLEM ALSO HAPPENED WITH THE HOOD WHEN I WAS GETTING A JUMP WHEN THE CAR WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. LEXUS OFFERED TO PAY FOR THE HOOD STRUTS BUT NOT REAR LIFT GATE. THE ONLY TIME THE HOOD IS OPEN IS WHEN IT'S AT LEXUS FOR SERVICE SO THAT IS NO HELP TO ME.I NO LONGER USE MY TRUNK IN THE WINTER. LEXUS SHOULD MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF THIS ISSUE. I DON'T HAVE THE DATE BUT LEXUS SHOULD HAVE IT ON FILE.
