My 2006 Range Rover rolls away while shifted into Park. This matches the exact defect of Land Rover Recall B023 / NHTSA Campaign 05V502000, but Land Rover tells me my VIN is excluded. The original recall parameters were too narrow and missed my vehicle.

Fuel pump power and fuel level sensor electrical connector has undersized pins and sockets in the 4.4L and 4.2L engine equiped full sized range rovers from 06-09. The connector located on top of the fuel filter assembly on top of the fuel tank overheats and melts the plastic surrounding the copper feedthru pins connecting the fuel pump to the fuel pump relay. The pins passing thru the male portion of the connector on the fuel filter appears to be undersized. I've had three fuel pumps fail, at least one of which required the entire connector to be replaced on the vehicle (by me).
