Unfortunately I really have no idea what caused the problem . But While driving on the highway ( in traffic ) going approx 40 Mph . my vehicle had a low coolant light come on. Within 5 min of the light coming on the vehicle made a loud fast ticking like noise so I pulled off the road 1 half mile from my exit . Before I could even stop the vehicle fully . the cars hood had smoke and flames coming out . The flames got to at least 10 feet in the air … Within 15 min the front of the vehicle was burned to the ground . Police and fire arrived just under 15 min and were able to put the fire out . I have videos of the vehicle as I ran for safety . I had no none problems with this vehicle prior to this incident. The fire and police stated they have never seen a car like this go up in flames so fast as this one .

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, MY VEHICLE WHICH IS AT 15,000 MILES AND ABOUT 18 MONTHS OLD, HAS BEEN FACING CONTINUOUS FAILURES ON ITS ELECTRIC AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS THAT AFFECTED THE AIR SUSPENSION SHUTTING DOWN, EMERGENCY BREAK LOCKING UP, SUDDEN SHUT DOWN OF THE MIDDLE MAIN CONSOLE, A SHUT DOWN OF SAFETY FEATURES AROUND MIRRORS AND SIMILAR VEHICLE SAFETY WARNING SYSTEMS. THE ISSUES HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING. I TOOK IT BACK TO MY DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND EVEN THE LAST TIME AFTER SERVICE THE CAR CAME BACK WITH AN ENGINE WARNING SIGN. I MADE MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS WITH LAND ROVER TO CORRECT AND STATED THAT MY FAMILY AND I FEEL VERY UNSAFE AND INSECURE NOT KNOWING WHAT CAN BREAK DOWN NEXT. WHEN WE ASKED IF IT IS SAFE THE COMPANY RESPONDED THAT WE SHOULD MAKE THAT DETERMINATION WITHOUT AN ENGINEERING OR TECHNICAL BACKGROUND. THE COMPANY ALSO SAID THEY WILL TAKE 30 BUSINESS DAYS TO REVIEW OUR CASE HOWEVER UPON SEVERAL REMINDERS THAT WE ARE NOT FEELING SAFE, LAND ROVER OPTS TO IGNORE OR STATE THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE RESOURCES IE PEOPLE TO REVIEW THESE CASES. I WOULD LIKE TO ENTER INTO RECORD THAT WE DID MAKE MANY ATTEMPTS TO RELAY OUR CONCERNS AND IF THERE ARE TO BE ANY ACCIDENTS IT IS THE FAULT OF THE COMPANY FOR CONTINUOUSLY IGNORING THE SERIOUSNESS OF THE CASE AND TOTAL LACK OF CARE FOR PASSENGER SAFETY. 24V364000 · Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera

May 23, 2024

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Range Rover Sport vehicles equipped with a Surround Camera System. Water may enter into the rearview camera, which can cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display or display a distorted image. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A rearview camera image that does not display can decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect the rearview camera for damage. If no damage is found, the camera will be fitted with a new seal. If damage is found, the camera will be replaced and calibrated. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 18, 2024. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N901. These vehicles were previously recalled under 24V-023 for this same issue and will need to have the new remedy completed.

The Auto High Beam (AHB) system does not indicate through the instrument cluster when the high beams are illuminated automatically. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: The driver may be unaware that the high beams are illuminated, reducing visibility for oncoming traffic, and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge. The recall began April 7, 2021. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N556.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: If the AEB does not intervene when needed, without warning, there would be an increased risk of a crash.

The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) is upgrading its Preliminary Evaluation (PE25006) of front steering knuckle fractures on model year (MY) 2014 through 2017 Range Rover Sport vehicles to an Engineering Analysis. ODI opened PE25006 on June 27, 2025, after receiving 12 Vehicle Owner's Questionnaire (VOQ) reports of the front aluminum steering knuckles fracturing in these vehicles. The reports describe the fractures occurring at the joint where the steering knuckle attaches to the upper control arm ball joint in one or both steering knuckles. Fracture of the front suspension knuckle can lead to detachment of the upper suspension arm. Detachment of the upper suspension arm results in the driver’s inability to control the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. ODI reviewed information supplied by Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in response to Information Request letters as well as reviewed the data with JLR on numerous occasions. ODI further reviewed relevant data on a peer vehicle with a significantly similar steering knuckle design, the MY 2014 through 2017 Range Rover. Much of the information is contradictory and requires a deeper analysis that is available in an Engineering Analysis. On August 5, 2025, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) filed safety recall 25V514. This recall covers certain MY 2014 and all MY 2015-2017 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles. The remedy for recall 25V514 addresses knuckles with and without a visible fracture. Knuckles that have developed a visible fracture will be replaced with a new knuckle of a substantially similar design. Knuckles with no fracture visibly present will have a brace attached to the upper portion of the front steering knuckle. JLR states that the purpose of the brace is to prevent the component from completely separating should a fracture develop. NHTSA continues to receive allegations of fractures occurring in the front steering knuckles of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles. Two of the most recent VOQs received by ODI involve front steering knuckle fractures occurring on MY 2020 and MY 2021 Range Rover L405 vehicles. ODI will continue to investigate the component design and assess the potential safety risk as part of this Engineering Analysis and evaluate the recall remedies for Recall 25V514. Further, the scope of this Engineering Analysis will be expanded to include MY 2018-2022 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles as they have a substantially similar component design.
