FUEL FILTERS CLOG SUDDENLY AND WITH VERY SHORT MILEAGE TIME FRAME. WHEN CLOGGED THEY CAUSE FUEL PUMP CAVITATION THAT PUTS AIR IN FUEL LINE. WHEN THIS HAPPENS ON FREEWAY/TRAFFIC IT CAN CAUSE A LOSS OF CONTROL, OR A SUDDEN DECREASE IN SPEED THAT CAN LEAD TO MOTORCYCLE BEING HIT/RUN OVER BY OTHER TRAFFIC. KTM HAS NO RECOMMENDATION ON WHEN FUEL FILTERS SHOULD BE REPLACED. THEY HAVE ALSO INCREASED THE PRICE OF THE FUEL FILTERS FROM $60 TO OVER $150 IN THE LAST 3 YEARS.
