While commuting by highway to my place of work - motorcycle surged and "Low engine oil pressure" warning came on display. Immediately shut off motorcycle and attempted to maneuver the bike to a safe place to stop while avoiding traffic. Upon investigation, visually found low engine oil level, but no oil leaks present anywhere. R…

While commuting by highway to my place of work - motorcycle surged and "Low engine oil pressure" warning came on display. Immediately shut off motorcycle and attempted to maneuver the bike to a safe place to stop while avoiding traffic. Upon investigation, visually found low engine oil level, but no oil leaks present anywhere. Refilled oil to correct level on sight-glass, and attempted to restart engine, but engine presented with serious knock and "bad" sounds. Immediately shut down engine and trailered motorcycle to authorized service center.
