FUEL BOWL ENCLOSING THE FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY IS MADE OF PLASTIC AND IN NORMAL USE HAS DEVELOPED CRACKS WHICH ARE CAUSING THE BOWL TO LEAK CREATING A FIRE HAZARD. THE BOWL HAS A SPRING IN IT WHICH APPLIES PRESSURE TO THE FUEL FILTER KEEPING IT PROPERLY SEATED. THE COMBINATION OF THE PRESSURE, VIBRATION AND SOLVENT ACTIVITY OF THE…

FUEL BOWL ENCLOSING THE FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY IS MADE OF PLASTIC AND IN NORMAL USE HAS DEVELOPED CRACKS WHICH ARE CAUSING THE BOWL TO LEAK CREATING A FIRE HAZARD. THE BOWL HAS A SPRING IN IT WHICH APPLIES PRESSURE TO THE FUEL FILTER KEEPING IT PROPERLY SEATED. THE COMBINATION OF THE PRESSURE, VIBRATION AND SOLVENT ACTIVITY OF THE FUEL HAS CAUSED THE PLASTIC BOWL TO BECOME CRAZED AND CRACKED. IT SHOULD BE REDESIGNED/RECALLED. I AM CURIOUS TO KNOW HOW MANY OTHERS ARE HAVING SIMILAR PROBLEMS.
