A few months ago we became aware that our Sedona was burning through coolant and oil very quickly. We began to monitor closely and were adding coolant and oil frequently. We did not see any oil leaking on the engine or driveway. We brought the car into the Cherry Hill Kia service center to get checked. We were aware of a recall involving coolant and oil and thought this could be related. I told the mechanic we were checking the coolant and oil every week because it would run low and the check engine light would come on. We would add both oil and coolant and the check engine light would go out soon after. The Kia mechanic told us we needed new radiator hoses and an alternator. I pressed the mechanic because I did not understand how that would affect the oil consumption. We paid for the diagnostic and oil change and took our car to another mechanic and they replaced the entire radiator and alternator. This was in October, 24. In January of 25 we were driving on a 45 mph road with no shoulder when the lights on the dashboard lit up and we began to lose power. The vehicle stopped and we could not even get the hazard lights to function. My children were in the car. The police had to be called to stop traffic so we could safely push the car off the road until it could be towed. The vehicle is currently at Burlington Kia and we have been informed we need a whole new engine. We have always been diligent about maintaining our cars. I have no doubt that this is the result of poor engineering and design and puts families like ours in danger. Please help us and by holding Kia accountable.
I got an oil leak and it was covered but it caused a coolant leak and the dealership wants to charge me for this when it should be covered . Also I went a couple of times for my door coming open while I am driving and they didn’t fix it .

The Driver side rear sliding door motor was not functioning properly. however the sliding door was getting locked and unlocked and can function properly manually . I took the vehicle to the KIA dealership with this recall and extended warranty. they installed a new motor and that motor was not working properly so they went ahead and installed a module for the sliding door to function properly. Later the door gets jammed and the door is not opening and the panel latch is not releasing the sliding door which only happens after they installed the new motor and module. they are asking to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. My understanding after consulting with people that if some part is under warranty and its not functioning properly than it should be fixed by the company which they are refusing to do. two concerns here, one is money that they are asking to get it fixed but the second concern is more of an issue that the door gets jammed in case of emergency the family can not use that door to exit the vehicle. the car sliding door was opening and closing, locked and unlocked properly only problem was the motor. i would appreciate if it can be seen.
Vehicle was parked in garage and caught on fire. Garage, vehicle, and all contents were a complete loss. Total loss of garage and property excluding the vehicle is around $75,000.
Spontaneously combusted, caught on fire and my family had to evacuate before they burned to death
Last Thursday, 5 days into the new year I was coming back from the chiropractor and the grocery store , approximately 15 miles from my home. Last Thursday, 5 days into the new year I was coming back from the chiropractor and the grocery store , approximately 15 miles from my home. I got home and parked my van outside (usually park in the garage but would be leaving within the hour so didn't want to open the garage door and let the heat out). I shut the van off and carried groceries inside. Long story short I received a call from my husband that the neighbor called to say there was smoke next to our deck and I looked out the window and my kia was on fire! Rear end just engulfed in flames. I have never had any issues with my van ever. She ran great, had maybe 2 dings in her but was not torn up or abused. My husband is a mechanic and changed oil and spark plugs and we treated her good! It was a very sad day. Sorry to ramble on. You may contact me if you have any questions. I do screen calls for #s I don't know so please leave a voice-mail or contact via email with a # and extention if preferred. I attached photos below. Also have a police report for insurance purposes. Thank you for taking time to read this!

We bought our 2015 Kia Sedona earlier this year (2021) and are having issues with the left blinker, the sliding doors and the backup camera. With the blinker, it doesn't always activate when you plus the lever down. sometimes you have to push it real hard. Other times you push the lever down to turn left but the right blinker comes on instead. With the doors, the rear left door doesn't always click shut all the way. It makes a grinding sound and then the back of the door unhinges. Sometimes it closes all the way only to unhinge while I am driving, sometimes 55+mph in the middle of a highway. The rear right door will not always respond to any of the automatic button commands. Once in a while it will close or open with the buttons. Other times it will partially close before reopening again. And even other times it just beeps and will not move. We have checked numerous times to make sure there are no obstructions and there aren't. With the backup camera, it is just very blurry and you cannot really tell what you are looking at other than shadows. We have wiped it down and it has done nothing to fix the issue. KIA! PLEASE HELP WITH THESE ISSUES!!!!!
SLIDING DOOR DOES NOT PROPERLY CLOSE ALL THE TIME. I HAVE TO CLOSE THE DOOR BY HAND. I'VE BROUGHT THIS CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY SAID IT WAS FIXED BUT IT ISN'T.
